I used to swear by this place after getting the Cosmelan peel, but my experience changed over time. A year or two into treating my hyperpigmentation, I was recommended the Tixel treatment. Unfortunately, it left my skin worse than when I came in. I was repeatedly told to “trust the process,” but even now—over a year later—you can still see the laser marks on my face. My dermatologist and esthetician believe the settings were too high. I understand that these treatments come with risks, but I really wish there had been more transparency and support afterward instead of being given the runaround and the only solution being for me to wear makeup

I booked a chemical peel to help with acne scars. The esthetician explained aftercare, and my skin peeled lightly as expected. After two sessions, the texture improved. Price was reasonable, and follow-up check-ins showed great customer care.

I can’t say enough great things about this skincare clinic! From the very first day I started treatment, my skin has improved dramatically, and just three months later, the results are beyond impressive. Dr. Molly mentioned that my skin is still healing and will continue to get better, but honestly, I’m already so happy with the progress—it’s hard to believe how low my self-esteem was just a few months ago because of the acne and cysts on my face. I’m committed to the full journey until my skin is as smooth as my little one’s cheeks! Dr. Molly and her team are incredible—kind, professional, and truly dedicated to their clients. The free consultation was the icing on the cake. This clinic has earned my loyalty for life! Highly recommend to anyone looking for real results and exceptional care.

I first received services from Anew Skin in early 2022 as I was experiencing intense skin issues (acne, hyperpigmentation, dryness) that were exacerbated by stress and the types of sheets I slept on. I purchased a chemical peel package and after my third peel, saw *some* results. Dr. Sarumi reassessed my skin and adjusted my treatment, prescribing some of Anew Skin’s products from in-house. These products cleared my skin up within one month! Fast forward to this year—hormonal changes that come w/aging are causing some of those same skin issues to resurface so I set up a consultation w/Dr. Sarumi. She immediately remembered me from 3 years ago and compared my skin to back then w/photos. It looked sooo much better under the special lighting but needs assistance to get back normal. She prescribed some of the old products I used and recommended a new one. I’m feeling excited about the regimen and definitely recommend Anew Skin and Dr. Sarumi to address your skincare needs. She is attentive, professional, and truly wants your skin to be healthy!

I have been visiting the spa for the Cosmelan MD peel for melasma and hyperpigmentation (one application in the office, application at home, plus free touchup in the office, plus regular consultation). Dr. Sarumi and her team member, Latasha, has been excellent in terms of the care and follow-up. While some aspects of my melasma (specially, the "freckles" on my upper cheek) are quite stubborn and persistent, the overall tone and texture of my skin has improved greatly with only some discomfort (redness, peeling, etc.) at the beginning of the process until my skin acclimated (including, to the somewhat orange-ish hue of the new Cosmelan MD formulation). I'm going back in the Fall/Winter for a Tixel treatment given the results and my trust in this team. A definite plus if you are a person with melanin like me (I'm a medium-brown toned South Asian women close to middle age).

A New Skin is an awesome establishment! They offer many services. I have been to many dermatologists, as I have dealt with acne for as long as I can remember and a lot of times they prescribe oral or topical medication that do nothing; in many cases are not specific to your needs. Dr Sarumi knows exactly what she’s doing. She and her team do not push product or services on you unnecessarily. In fact, every time I achieve great results with any procedure, I immediately start pushing to do more or do something else she’d recommend. I have never been more satisfied with skincare services. A New Skin is a great team I 100% recommend them for anything you need!

I came in for my second treatment on my sideburns. Even though I didn’t see any hair growth, I thought I should schedule a second anyway. I came in and my technician, Blessing, told me it would be a waste of my money to treat the hair now since it was barely visible (which was totally awesome because I have tried laser at 5+ locations for the past 10 years and no treatment has worked this well!) I appreciated that blessing had my best interest in mind and wasn’t just trying to take my money without reason. Really pleasant experience.

I purchased the acne package, which was a chemical peel and three sessions of microneedling. I was also given topical treatments to help my skin in between. They let me pay in two installments. The treatments did help my skin overall. However, 1) my acne was not reduced, only the hyperpigmentation, and 2) I had a number of less than stellar experiences. My consultation was with a doctor that I never ever saw again, not even just walking around the office. I had photos taken of my face before every session, but they were never shared with me so I could see progress. The chemical peel was some of the worst pain I have ever experienced. The microneedling sessions were much easier, but I had a lot of issues with the numbing cream used. The cream likes to slide around your face, so I often ended up with it in my eyes, mouth, and ears, which is NOT pleasant. I haven't experienced this at other facilities, so I'm not sure what's wrong with the cream they use. They seem to change receptionists often, which wouldn't be a problem except for the time they lost my appointment. They did still do my treatment, but they were asking me about who took my appointment when I made it over a month ago? I met the woman once and never saw her again, why would I remember? Finally the whole "Blessing is a blessing" thing is overblown. Blessing does her job and is bare minimum level of friendly. I didn't find she had exceptional bedside manner; in fact the most I ever saw her smile or chat was when she asked me to leave a review. She wasn't rude or anything, just not this angel others talk about in their reviews. And speaking of the reviews....all customers who leave a (good?) review get a free facial, so I would take the positive ones with a grain of salt. So in short, sure, I got what I paid for, but it didn't solve all the issues I had come in for and I never saw the doctor again. After my last session there was zero follow-up to see how I liked things and if I needed anything else. If this place is convenient to you and you understand what you're getting, go for it - otherwise I recommend going the extra mile to find a nicer place.
